Voids-Why did I pick this word to write on? I think it is a wisdom word that really needs to be explored.
Let us take a look at the meaning of a Void in the Webster: 1. Unocccupied, vacant. 2. Containing
nothing, empty
Daily Wisdom Word Meaning: An empty space within us that needs to be directly dealt with.
We all have voids. They are those "spaces between the lines". Voids are the times when we
are thinking deeply and we feel a sort of emptiness and we don't know why.
Voids, in order to be addressed, first have to be discovered. Sit down with a pen and paper
and write down areas in your life that are "lacking" the ideal fulfillment you would like to
see with these areas. Voids can be filled by other things than what is missing within
that void.
Voids can be filled by finding a new hobby. You may be an artist and are able to draw, but
your not aware of it because your doing things within your "comfort zone", only.
Force yourself to reach within, identify the void, and fill it by addressing it directly or with
something NEW. Voids don't have to be bad. They can lead to amazing self-discovery.
Voids can lead to us going to see a professional counselor to deal with them which again,
ultimately cause us to grow. Life is about growing. Life is not about staying stagnant and in
the same old comfortable place you know and love.
You may think that is okay, and it is, SOMETIMES, but it does not give us the opportunities
to evaluate why we feel depressed sometimes and why. If you think about you feeling
down, it is usually about a void: A quality you feel you need to have for another, (analyze that)
because the issue may lie with them.
A void is an empty feeling but there is one thing good about them. They are alert systems
within us showing us we need to grow. I use my writing to fill the void I have within.
We are all perfectly"imperfect" and each of us will deal with this when it presents itself
enough for us to realize we might have issues within ourselves that would make us feel
better if we did deal with them. SL
